Mindful Yoga  Course in Victoria

The course will cover the          following:


1. establishing mind-body connection through cultivating awareness of breath and body sensations


2. series of yogic postures (asanas) that  are held for a period of time to allow for gradual  physical and energetic release


3. exploring connection between mental and physical aspects of such qualities as compassion, joyful effort, balance, surrender, patience, strength, open heartedness, generosity, and letting go


4. pranayama (conscious  yogic breathing)


5. mudra (conscious yogic gestures)


6. introduction to meditation and mind training : Compassion

You are invited to take part in Mindful Yoga Course in James Bay this September/October! The theme is Compassion, which is ancient Buddhist practice of training the mind to be open to suffering.


Over the period of 6 weeks we will practice

Mindful Yoga in a small group.  Mindful yoga is ideal for those who want to experience yoga as a spiritual practice, not merely as a physical workout.


In this style of yoga, the work with the mind is as important as working with the body. The result is a deeper experience of mind-body connection, inner peace and health.


Dates:  6 sessions  -   September 2, 9 ,16, 23, 20,           October 7


Time:     Thursdays, 5:00-7:00pm

Fee:   early bird - $75 (if payed before August 19, 10 regular fee -$90
