Do not fear death so much,

but rather the inadequate life.

Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)

Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology

Registered Nurse (inactive status)

I have enjoyed the privilege of helping people over the last 15 years.   It has been  a source of tremendous satisfaction and a huge influence on my personal psychological and spiritual development.

My formal training in Psychology began at the University of Toronto (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) and continued at the Adler Institute of Professional Psychology in Toronto and Chicago.

Since my graduation in 1997 I have been involved with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health,

Mount Sinai Hospital, Women’s College Hospital

and in Private Practice (recently-at the Cook St Village Professional Counselling in Victoria BC)

Over the years my therapeutic style has been shaped by

a variety of counselling approaches:

from Psychodynamic and Jungian,  Gestalt, Humanistic and Interpersonal, to Art therapy and Mindfulness among others.

In recent years a special interest of mine has been body-focused psychotherapy (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy developed by Dr. Pat Ogden), which aims to heal the disconnection between mind and body, especially relevant in cases of psychological trauma.

While training in this modality, which borrows from Buddhist Contemplative Practice, I became interested in Buddhist Meditation and Yoga.

Buddhist spirituality and Yoga broadly  influence my counselling  practice in Victoria today.

Currently I am in Private Practice at the Wellspring Counselling and Consulting  at 919 Fort St. Suite 203, Victoria.
